What Happened? Sen. McConnell Blanks Out, Stares into Space During Press Conference
Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) suffered a bizarre brain freeze during a press conference Wednesday, prompting concerns over the 81-year-old politician’s state of health.
McConnell stared off blankly for 20 seconds before colleagues stepped in to usher him away from the podium.
The Daily Mail reports: “A McConnell aide later said that he felt ‘light-headed’ and stepped away for a moment.”
“‘But he came back and was sharp for the Q and A,’ added the aide.”
The pitiful incident is a giant endorsement for term limits.
