Donald Trump served meals to Texas law enforcement and National Guard during a visit to the Rio Grande Valley on Sunday, where Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Texas) also announced his endorsement of the former president.

The 45th president was seen serving up early Thanksgiving meals to Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) officials and National Guard troops in Edinburgh.

Trump also shook hands and took selfies with the Operation Lone Star border agents.

Gov. Abbott announced his endorsement of the former president in an address to law enforcement.

“We need a president who’s going to secure the border. We need a president who’s going to restore law and order in the United States of America, not letting these criminals ransack over the stores you see images of almost nightly. We need a president who’s going to restore world peace as opposed to this outbreak of warfare under Joe Biden. We need Donald J. Trump back as our President of the United States of America,” Abbott declared.

Abbott also called Trump the “clear choice” for president in a statement on X.

“Today, I am proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for President. Now more than ever, America needs a President who will secure the border and prioritize national security. President Trump is the clear choice to get the job done,” he wrote.
