Watch: AG Garland Grilled On Capitol Hill
Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland was pressed by Congress on Wednesday for the blatant whitewash investigations into Hunter Biden, weaponizing the DOJ and much more.
While it’s obvious to most Americans the Hunter cover-up is being ordered straight from the top, Garland consistently insinuated the longtime Biden family associate and Special Counsel David Weiss is the person messing up the Hunter investigation.
When asked about any Hunter-related communications between him and the FBI, Garland stuttered and said he couldn’t “recollect” whether he’s ever talked with anyone in the bureau about the investigation.
Garland also failed to answer whether or not he’s talked with Weiss about the Hunter investigation.
At one point, Garland contradicted previous comments regarding the authority Weiss had over the Hunter investigation.
Garland once said Weiss had “full authority” over the investigation, but on Wednesday he admitted the U.S. Attorney of the District of Columbia refused to partner with Weiss on the prosecution of Hunter Biden.
Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC) also asked Garland why the DOJ allowed the statute of limitations to expire for certain Hunter Biden crimes and the AG failed to answer, instead blaming Weiss.
Garland also refused to answer Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz (R) when he asked if the DOJ was sure Hunter Biden wasn’t selling his artwork in exchange for access to the Biden White House.
Touching on other topics, Garland was asked if he agreed that traditional Catholics are violent extremists and the attorney general refused to say “no” and played the victim despite the fact it was his FBI that targeted Catholics.
GOP Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky told Garland the DOJ’s two investigations into Elon Musk appear reminiscent of “mafia tactics.”
Massie also used his time to press Garland on the weak indictment of Jan. 6 provocateur and suspected federal informant Ray Epps, saying, “You indicted him on a misdemeanors and meanwhile you’re sending grandmas to prison. You’re putting people away for 20 years for merely filming. Some weren’t even there but you got the guy on video saying go into the Capitol, he’s at the sight of first breach, and it’s an indictment on a misdemeanor.”
Massie even got Garland to potentially perjure himself when he said he was unaware whether or not there were “any” undercover assets in the Jan. 6 crowd.
