Washington Elections Delayed After Apparent Antifa Letter With Fentanyl Powder Sent To Officials

Election officials in several Washington counties were sent letters with a white powdery substance and a message calling for the end of elections so the “right” isn’t given any more power.

King, Pierce, Skagit, and Spokane counties reportedly all received the threatening letters filled with white powder.

The Spokane and King County letters were confirmed to have contained fentanyl.

The letter sent to a Pierce County election office stated, “End elections now. Stop giving power to the right that they don’t have. We are in charge now and there is no more need for them. Also be aware your ballot drops are very susceptible to noxious chemicals like AM/BL. They are unsafe to the public. Just saying.”

The Post Millenial editor Ari Hoffman posted images of the Pierce County letter on X Thursday, showing the envelope was sent from Portland, Oregon under the fake name Mike Hock.

The letters also featured an Antifa symbol, the three arrows, a transgender flag and a Satanic pentagram.

Skagit County election workers also received a letter with white powder inside and had a HAZMAT team remove the envelope.

“Because of the evacuation, there will be no new election results released tonight,” the county government wrote on Facebook Wednesday night.

The chair of the Skagit GOP confirmed the letter sent to Skagit election officials also had a Portland, Oregon return address which means it was likely from the same person or group behind the Pierce County letter.

Hoffman noted all counties that were sent one of the letters turned them over to the FBI.

In total, three separate elections were halted, as The Seattle Times reported, “In Tacoma, those votes are deciding the fate of a measure to adopt renter protections; in Spokane, a mayoral race is too close to call; and in King County, several county positions and Seattle City Council races are neck and neck.”

Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs said in a statement Wednesday, “The safety of staff and observers is paramount as elections workers across the state open envelopes and count each voter’s ballot. These incidents underscore the critical need for stronger protections for all election workers. Democracy rests upon free and fair elections. These incidents are acts of terrorism to threaten our elections.”

Washington’s Democrat Governor Jay Inslee commented on the letters via X, writing, “Our elections are sacred and the guardianship of democracy begins at the local level in county offices across our state. Any threat to election workers is a threat to the vote itself. This is unfortunately just the latest attack on democracy as our county offices have had to pay for increased security in recent years.”

It’s worth noting last Friday, just before the Jewish Sabbath, two Seattle, Washington, synagogues were also sent envelopes with a white powdery substance inside, launching an FBI probe.

Could the same left-wing group be behind the synagogue letters and election office letters?
