From The Post Millennial:
Graves said, that protestors—if they were on restricted Capitol grounds on Jan. 6, 2021, and had not gone in the building—would have “committed a federal crime.”
“We have used our prosecutorial discretion to primarily focus on those who entered the building or those who engaged in violent or corrupt conduct on Capitol grounds,” Graves said in a press briefing on Jan. 4. He then suggested that others who went on the Capitol grounds themselves could be prosecuted.
Jack Posobiec posted online about his comments, saying, “He’s talking about the public lawn of the Capitol,” and then adding, “This is how insane these people are.”
Infowars host Owen Shroyer, who was prosecuted entirely for his speech outside the Capitol, reacted to Graves’ threats on X:
“I warned this was coming. My case was precedent setting,” Shroyer said. “Make no mistake, the message here is: If you’re a Trump supporter, or any right wing anti-establishment candidate, you have no 1st Amendment rights. You will be charged & incarcerated for speaking, reporting or protesting.”
