Trump Blames Biden For Hamas Attack on Israel: ‘American Taxpayer Dollars Helped Fund These Attacks’
Former President Donald Trump on Saturday blamed Joe Biden for the Palestinian terror group Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel, citing his administration’s unfreezing of billions in funds to Iran last month.
“These Hamas attacks are a disgrace and Israel has every right to defend itself with overwhelming force,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Sadly, American taxpayer dollars helped fund these attacks, which many reports are saying came from the Biden Administration. We brought so much peace to the Middle East through the Abraham Accords, only to see Biden whittle it away at a far more rapid pace than anyone thought possible. Here we go again.”

Biden had released $6 billion in frozen Iranian funds on September 11 as part of a prisoner swap deal.
“On September 8, Secretary Blinken undertook a procedural step in an ongoing process to ensure Iranian funds can move from one restricted account to another and remain restricted to humanitarian trade,” National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said in a statement.
“As we have said from the outset, what is being pursued here is an arrangement wherein we secure the release of 5 wrongfully held Americans. This remains a sensitive and ongoing process. While this is a step in the process, no individuals have been or will be released into U.S. custody this week. We have kept Congress extensively informed from the outset of this process – long before today – and we will continue to do so, including with additional already scheduled briefings this week.”
That decision received widespread condemnation on social media in the wake of Hamas’ invasion of Israel, which has killed over 40 civilians and injured hundreds more.
Hamas has been funded by Iran for decades to the tune of $100 million annually.
Interestingly, rather than give a statement himself, Biden’s Office of Palestinian Affairs tweeted, then deleted, a post urging Israel not to defend itself against Hamas.
“We unequivocally condemn the attack of Hamas terrorists and the loss of life that incurred. We urge all sides to refrain from violence and retaliatory attacks. Terror and violence solve nothing.”
Trump is set to hold a rally in Iowa later this afternoon where he’ll surely address the unfolding chaos in the Middle East.
