Shock Video: Elderly Man in Wheelchair Robbed at Texas Gas Station
An elderly, disabled man was the victim of a robbery in broad daylight at a gas station in Texas, according to authorities.
The incident unfolded in Houston at around 4 p.m. on August 31 but authorities just released surveillance footage in hopes of obtaining more information about the suspects.
In the video, the wheelchair-bound victim can be seen making a purchase at a gas station convenience store as one of the male suspects walks by.
The suspect then gathers with two other males in the parking lot, apparently observing the victim as he makes his way outside.
As the victim wheels near gas pumps, one of the suspects walks up, rips a bag of cash out of the man’s hands, and sprints away.
The trio of suspects fled the scene on foot and were still on the loose as of Thursday.
Houston Police describe the suspects as follows:
“Black male, dark blue shirt and black shorts. Suspect #2: Black male, white shirt and tan pants. Suspect #3: Black male, black shirt and black pants.”
Anyone with helpful information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
