RINO McConnell Defends Biden’s $100 Billion Ukraine-Israel Aid Proposal: ‘I View It As All Interconnected’
Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell sided with Joe Biden over his proposal to bundle $100 billion in aid for both Israel and Ukraine, saying they are “interconnected.”
McConnell was asked Sunday on CBS’s “Face The Nation” whether it was possible to pass more aid for Ukraine without aiding Israel given some Republicans no longer support sending more aid to Ukraine.
“I just think that’s a mistake,” McConnell responded. “I mean, I know there are some Republicans in the Senate, and maybe more in the House, saying Ukraine is somehow different. I view it as all interconnected.”
The Kentucky senator also insisted that the bulk of the billions for Ukraine would be spent in the U.S. to ramp up weapons production.
“No Americans are getting killed in Ukraine. We’re rebuilding our industrial base. The Ukrainians are destroying the army of one of our biggest rivals. I have a hard time finding anything wrong with that. I think it’s wonderful that they’re defending themselves- and also the notion that the Europeans are not doing enough,” he said.
McConnell also said he and Biden are “generally in the same place” when it comes to funding Ukraine and Israel and agreed they share a similar “worldview.”
“Well, not on the domestic side, but on this issue that we- we’re discussing today, we’re generally in the same place,” McConnell said.
If only McConnell shared that same solidarity with former President Donald Trump while he was in office.
But the Uniparty Swamp bands together when endless war is involved.
