Report: Biden Team on Special ‘Don’t-Let-Him-Trip’ Mission On Campaign Trail

Aides working in Joe Biden’s presidential campaign are hyperaware of his contentious relationship with gravity, and are always on high alert for potential obstacles that may publicly trip up the puppet president.

Axios covered the campaign’s focus on Biden’s battle with stairs and sandbags Tuesday, reporting, “President Biden and his campaign are working on a critical project for his re-election bid: Make sure he doesn’t trip.’”

The article highlighted Biden being able to maintain his balance in the public eye is critical considering growing concerns over his age and physical fitness as the 2024 presidential election draws nearer.

“Since his stumble in June, he has been wearing tennis shoes more often to avoid slipping — and using the short stairs on Air Force One, entering the plane on a lower deck than before,” Axios noted, citing worries from Democrats, “including some in the administration,” that he could suffer a “bad fall” in the immediate run-up to the election.

“Some senior Democrats privately have been frustrated with Biden’s advance team for months, citing the sandbag incident and noting that the president often appears not to know which direction to go after he speaks at a podium,” reported Axios.

The left-leaning media outlet notes Biden has difficulty coordinating his balance due to “a combination of significant spinal arthritis” and “mild post-fracture foot arthritis,” and has been recommended a balance exercise regime by a physical therapist.

The campaign is also concerned presidential opponent former President Donald Trump may seize on the tennis shoes and shorter stairs to mock Biden, but said it “will be worth it to avoid another public stumble.”

“The Biden campaign’s calculus is similar to its efforts in 2020 to prevent him from getting COVID, even as those steps — such as strict limits on in-person campaigning— led to memes mocking Biden’s ‘basement campaign,’” according to Axios.

The liberal news outlet also noted a fall could bring unwanted attention to Biden’s age as he embarks on his re-election bid, much like Republican presidential contender Bob Dole’s fall off a stage in 1996 heightened concerns about his age.

White House spokesperson Andrew Bates dismissed Axios’ report, saying Biden’s issues with balance and his propensity for falling have previously been addressed by his doctor.

“This article fits an unfortunate pattern of media attempting to sensationalize something that has long been public, rather than covering the president’s very real achievements for hardworking Americans,” Bates stated.

Clearly, it’s in the Biden campaign’s best interests to keep media outlets in the dark about their candidate’s age and health, but how does having a doddering senile Commander-in-Chief bode for America?
