Obama Slammed for Endorsing Books Banned in School Libraries Containing Graphic Sexual Content: ‘Some of the Books that Shaped My Life’
Former Democrat President Barack Obama was slammed on social media after appearing to endorse books containing graphic LGBTQ+ content unsuitable for children.
In a letter praising librarians in the US for battling “on the front lines” of the “banned book” war he said is waged “by people who disagree with certain ideas,” Obama claimed “some of the books” being challenged “shaped his life,” before going on to add he’s against censoring them.
“Today, some of the books that shaped my life — and the lives of so many others — are being challenged by people who disagree with certain ideas or perspectives,” Obama said in a letter to librarians posted to Twitter Monday.
“It’s no coincidence that these ‘banned books’ are often written by or feature people of color, indigenous people, and members of the LGBTQ+ community — though there have also been unfortunate instances in which books by conservative authors or books containing ‘triggering’ words or scenes have been targets for removal,” Obama continued. “Either way, the impulse seems to be to silence, rather than engage, rebut, learn from or seek to understand views that don’t fit our own.”
Many on social media immediately pushed back against Obama’s flagrantly disingenuous misrepresentation of the books conservatives want banned, pointing out the books they want removed from school libraries contain pornographic depictions of oral and gay sex.
When you deliberately misrepresent an issue to make a point, you don’t have one.

You are so crafty in your language and making the uninformed electorate the issue is really about banning books.
It’s about not providing access to pornographic materials to children and forcing children to read books that propagate left-leaning ideologies through mandated sex…

I now have serious questions about what books shaped your life as a prepubescent child.

This country would be better suited if our youth stays as far away as they can from any books that influenced you,

“Was your life shaped by pornographic books about gay sex? Because those are the books that we are ‘challenging,’” pointed out Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh.
“Your life was shaped by books about how to suck another man’s private parts and how to insert various household objects into your rear end?” asked conservative author and documentary filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, adding, “Do elaborate!”

Others replied to Obama with screenshots of the books containing the graphic material.
Barack,
If you’ll sit down and read Gender Queer, then defend making it available to kids, I’ll do you the favor of running ads all over the country to let people know. You’ll never do it because you know it would disgust normal people that your party wants kids to read it. pic.twitter.com/qRAI8eC9Rx

These are the books Obama & the left are fighting to keep in schools, libraries & in front of your 8 & 10 year old. The left is so deranged & dangerous. Keep your kids away from such people. pic.twitter.com/RGfKa9D0wO

It’s incredible to see Obama’s lies being destroyed in real-time as speech on Twitter is now more free than it’s ever been.
