Israeli Man Whose Parents Were Killed By Hamas Cries For Loss Of Life On Both Sides, Calls For Leaders To “Stop The War” Before More Civilians Are Murdered

A Jewish man named Maoz Inon who lost both his parents in the recent Hamas attack on Israel made an appearance on BBC News over the weekend to beg world leaders to stop the fighting between Israel and Palestine before more innocent lives are lost.

Inon’s parents, Bilha and Yakov, were reportedly murdered by Hamas in the assault, but he told the BBC as he wept, “I must tell you that I’m not crying for my parents, I’m crying for those who will lose their life in this war. We must stop the war. The war is not the answer.”

The grieving man continued, saying, “I beg all the viewers and listeners to do everything in their power to put pressure on everyone that is relevant to stop the war immediately… to freeze the situation. As a family, we are not seeking revenge. Revenge will just lead to more suffering and more casualties.”

“Even though it was the most horrible day… most horrible loss of life in Israel since the foundation of the country, I’m afraid the numbers can be much bigger and we must do everything we can to stop the war,” he added. “I’m afraid for the soldiers, for the civilians from both sides, in Gaza and Israel, that will pay in their life. This is why I’m crying and this is why it was so important to me and it’s very hard to do this interview and to cry to the world, stop the war. Please, just stop the war.”

Inon’s response is a normal reaction to the bloodshed seen in the past nine days, yet sadly differs from many pro-Palestine and pro-Israel people calling for the total annihilation of the opposing group.

Considering the conflict could spark WWIII, Inon was correct in warning there could be an even greater loss of life down the road if the fighting continues to escalate.
