Hamas Terror Attack Survivor Says IDF “Undoubtedly” Shot & Killed Israeli Citizens, Burned Down Kibbutz Home
In a recent interview, a survivor of the Hamas attack on the Nova rave and nearby kibbutz claimed the Israeli Defense Forces soldiers responding to the attack indiscriminately shot at the terrorists and “undoubtedly” killed Israeli citizens and hostages caught in the line of fire.
The survivor, an Israeli woman named Yasmin Porat, claimed on Israeli State Radio that four Hamas terrorists surrounded a house she was hiding in for about an hour before entering and taking her and three others to a different home where additional hostages were being held.
Porat said there were around 40 Hamas members guarding the 12 hostages and revealed they treated the captives “humanely” and didn’t abuse them.
The terrorists even gave the prisoners water and tried to calm them when they were visibly anxious.
The woman explained they were held hostage for about two hours before help arrived, and that one of the abductors used her as a human shield to surrender to the Israeli forces.
During a firefight between Hamas and the responding Israeli police and military Porat said some hostages were killed by the IDF crossfire, including her “partner.”
“So, our forces may have shot them?” the Israeli State Radio host asked.
“Undoubtedly,” Porat responded, adding, “They eliminated everyone, including the hostages because there was very, very heavy crossfire.”
The Israeli hostage also said after she was freed, she saw a tank fire two shells into the house where she was previously being held captive.
This would imply the IDF shot tank rounds into a home and set it on fire as Hamas had no tanks.
Perhaps the viral footage of a kibbutz home burning was not proof of Hamas setting fire to the house “with people inside” as reported online, but was instead the result of the IDF responding to the terror attack.
“You saw it on the news,” Porat said of the now-infamous burning home.
Porat claimed the other individuals being held captive died inside the home.
This disturbing information may mean the charred remains of innocent Israelis being shown across the world were in fact casualties of their own nation’s military.
One X user suggested the Israeli military may have used the “Hannibal Directive” in order to justify killing hostages as long as it meant killing Hamas members as well.
Middle East specialist Dr. Yossi Mekelberg, who is part of the London think tank Chatham House, claimed the Hannibal Directive of “risking the death of a captive to avoid hostages” could currently be in use by the IDF.
In fact, many hostages Hamas brought back to Gaza have allegedly been killed by Israeli military missile strikes on the region.
Last week, Hamas claimed 13 captives were killed by Israeli bombings of Gaza in just one day.
Israeli officials verified this claim over the weekend after bodies of hostages were found in the perimeter of the Gaza Strip.
One video of Hamas and the IDF getting into a firefight with a pair of civilian women caught in the crossfire shows the terrorists allowing the women to flee and not shooting them when given the chance.
After being nearly shot by the IDF, the women were able to escape to safety with the Israeli fighters.
The interview with Porat is reportedly being censored in Israel.
