Gibbering Fetterman, Unironically: ‘America Not Sending Their Best & Brightest to Washington, D.C.’
Gibbering Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa.) appeared on CBS’ Late Show with Stephen Colbert Wednesday mocking Republican colleagues who he claimed aren’t too bright.
In an irony-drenched clip for the record books, the Democrat Senator – who exhibits symptoms of a stroke-induced speech impediment which often leaves him struggling to string together sentences – claimed it’s legislators on the other side of the aisle who are brain-dead imbeciles.
“Is it awkward to be in the Capitol and then run into people that you have put up a devastating meme about — because you’ve got excellent meme game — but then you have to see these people in the cafeteria?” Colbert asked.
“You all need to know that America is not sending their best and brightest, you know, to Washington DC,” Fetterman responded, completely unironically.
“Like sometimes, sometimes you literally just can’t believe, like, you know, these people are making the decisions that are, you know, determining the government here,” he stammered, adding, “It’s, it’s actually scary.”
The dim-witted legislator’s un-ironic complaints over the mental faculties of other legislators is almost too ironic to bear and is absolutely clown world at its finest.
During the interview, Colbert defended Fetterman over the fact his clinical depression diagnosis mere days after he won his Pennsylvania senate seat received press attention.
Because a politician’s health has never been news before, Stephen Colbert asks John Fetterman, “how does it feel to have your private health become public news?” He replies by going after Fox, “the better I get, the sad, you know, Fox News becomes.” (1/2) pic.twitter.com/gtK5NdBGmA

Colbert also seized the chance to mock Fetterman over the new Senate dress code, which now permits the often disheveled casual attire he wears.
Colbert gits him a tuxedo T-shirt, asks “Is it awkward to be in the Capitol and then run into people that you have put up a devastating meme about because you’ve got excellent meme game?” Fetterman: “America is not sending their best and brightest, you know, to Washington, DC” pic.twitter.com/WnmEwoi6Tc

“Oh my God, the world is going to burn because he’s going to wear a hoodie on the floor,” Fetterman said, mocking critics of the new lax dress code.
