Democrats Must ‘Scare the Sh*t Out of People’ Over Trump in 2024, Says MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch

MSNBC talking head Donny Deutsch proposed a novel strategy to defeat Donald Trump in 2024: “scare the shit out of people” regarding his MAGA agenda.

In the absence of a successful platform to run on, Deutsch argued Sunday on “Deadline: White House” that Democrats and the media’s task until November is to instill fear of Trump into the electorate in hopes they will vote for Joe Biden.

“It’s interesting, somebody said to me, ‘are you afraid if he gets reelected?’ And I hadn’t thought about it. Like, he’s gonna come after Joe. He’s gonna come after me. He might come after you,” Deutsch told host Nicolle Wallace.

In a case of pure projection, Deutsch claimed that Trump will mobilize the U.S. military and judicial system to target political opposition if elected.

“Do you remember when you had a guy like Milley would not take orders from Trump and start to put troops on Americans? That will change. So, there is no independent military or independent judiciary. We’re seeing what that would look like,” he said.

“Guess what, you can’t depend on the rule of law anymore, and independent Federal Communications Commission, you can’t depend on that and certainly not on an independent Justice Department. Freedom will end. Things like women, birth control, that will go away.”

“Scare the shit out of people,” he added.

Deutsch also said that a key feature of the Democrats’ campaign strategy should be to bring former Trump officials into the public eye and have them warn (even more than they already had) about how Trump will end democracy.

“Here’s the campaign the Democrats need to run. And I’ve been thinking about this a lot. There are four people that need to step forward. Kelly, Mattis, McMaster, and Milley,” referring to Trump’s former Chief of Staff, Defense Secretary, National Security Adviser, and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman.

“And there needs to be a general campaign where these generals, who have worked with him, need to turn to the American public and turn to the camera and say, ‘You don’t understand how scary this can be. We really can go over a cliff here.’”

Notably, this strategy had already been deployed before: Kelly, McMaster, Mattis, and Milley all spoke out against Trump leading up to the 2020 election.

This fear campaign will likely fall on deaf ears given Americans are already in a frightening situation with rampant inflation, a collapsed border that’s led to millions of illegal aliens streaming into the homeland, soaring crime, and the prospect of entering World War III against Russia over Ukraine.
