Clash of Titans Update: Musk Vs. Zuck Moves Forward, UFC President Dana White Greenlights Las Vegas Octagon

The highly anticipated cage match between tech giants Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg is gaining momentum as UFC President Dana White confirms the Las Vegas Octagon is the rumored fight venue.

“I was talking to both Elon and Mark last night,” White said in a recent update, adding, “Both guys are absolutely dead serious about this. They both want to do it!”

White says he was first approached by Facebook’s CEO who asked him, “Is he [Elon] serious?”

“And I said, ‘I don’t know, let me ask him.’ I asked him [Elon] and he said, ‘Yeah, I’m dead serious.’”

White, who has presided as UFC president since 2001, acknowledged the enormity of the potential bout between two of the world’s richest people.

“This would be the biggest fight ever in the history of the world, bigger than anything that’s ever been done,” White said, by no means understating the event’s magnitude.

“It would break all pay-per-view records. These guys would raise hundreds of millions of dollars for charity,” White anticipated, going on to note the fight would generate significant general interest.

“You don’t have to be a fight fan to be interested in this fight. Everybody would want to see it.”

Plans for the fight first came together earlier this week when it was reported Facebook parent company Meta was developing a competitor to Musk-owned social platform Twitter.

“I’m up for a cage match if he is lol” Musk responded Tuesday to a commenter telling him he should be careful due to Zuckerberg’s jiu-jitsu training.

The fight idea snowballed as Zuckerberg posted a screenshot of Musk’s tweet to his Instagram story, declaring “Send Me Location.”

Musk responded he wanted the venue to be the famous UFC Octagon in Las Vegas, Nevada, and said he’s perfecting his move “the walrus.”

Male empowerment guru and world champion kickboxer Andrew Tate offered to train Musk out of spite for Zuckerberg after being permanently suspended by Meta’s social media platforms.

“Meta banned me everywhere for telling the truth about vaccines. But now we can restore honour with a strike at the enemy clans leader,” Tate tweeted. “I will train you @elonmusk. You will not lose.”

Podcast host, comedian and UFC announcer Joe Rogan has been floated as a possible referee for the match.

Time will tell whether the clash of the tech titans actually comes to fruition and lives up to the hype.
