Charlie Kirk Smeared As “Anti-Semite” For Asking If Israel Stood Down For Hamas Attack
During a recent interview on the Patrick Bet-David Podcast, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk questioned the Israeli response to the recent Hamas terror attack as it took around three hours for the IDF to act.
Kirk, who has been historically pro-Israel and explained he’s been to the country several times, told Bet-David “the whole country is a fortress” and that he finds the official narrative “hard to believe.”
“I’ve been to that Gaza border. You cannot go 10 feet without running into a 19-year-old with an AR-15 or an automatic machine gun that’s an IDF soldier. The whole country is surveilled,” he explained.
Continuing, Kirk provided some political context surrounding the division in Israel as the nation has been on the brink of civil war because Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been trying to alter the nation’s laws.
After explaining how the Hamas attack has served as a distraction from the division, he noted he’s “not ready to go as far as to say Netanyahu knew or there was intelligence here,” but that “some questions need to be asked.”
“Was there a stand down order?” Kirk asked, adding, “Did somebody in the government say stand down? That is a legitimate, non-conspiracy question.”
Kirk clearly refrained from accusing Netanyahu of standing down and simply asked if an order was given by anyone.
The TPUSA founder also provided context as to why a standdown may have been ordered, such as the recent domestic division in Israel and bizarrely slow reaction time for an area so small under such high-tech surveillance.
In response to Kirk’s remarks, many unhinged individuals accused him of being an “anti-Semite.”
Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec commented on the controversy on X Sunday, explaining, “Charlie Kirk gave my whole family a trip to the Holy Land last year. Absolutely the trip of a lifetime, to be there with my father and my sons as we walked the steps of our Savior. People attacking CK are craven.”
In addition to Kirk’s thoughts on the slow reaction by the IDF, Israel was also reportedly warned of the attack by Egypt three days before the raid, according to an Egyptian official and Texas GOP Congressman Michael McCaul.
“We know that Egypt has warned the Israelis three days prior that an event like this could happen,” McCaul told reporters Wednesday. “I don’t want to get too much into classified, but a warning was given. I think the question was at what level.”
There are also loads of videos and social media posts showing Kirk clearly doesn’t support Hamas and doesn’t even want pro-Hamas people living in Western countries.
A dangerous precedent is being set when simply questioning events can cause an individual to be labeled “anti-Semitic.”
