Breaking! Federal Judge Slaps Restraining Order On New Mexico Governor’s Unconstitutional 2nd Amendment Suspension
U.S. District Judge David Urias ruled against Democratic New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s recent controversial and highly illegal decision to “temporarily suspend” citizens’ rights to carry firearms.
Under the guise of an “emergency public health order,” Grisham on Friday suspended the right of New Mexicans to openly or concealed carry guns in public places.
The politician cited recent shootings for the illegal decision despite the fact that the majority of the violence seen in the state is taking place in Albuquerque, not rural areas.
Governor Grisham tried to have violators face civil penalties and a fine of up to $5,000 if caught defying the order.
Soon after the Democrat’s announcement, Sheriff John Allen of Bernalillo County, New Mexico, Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman, Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller and Albuquerque Police Chief Harold Medina all publicly declared they’d refuse to enforce the anti-gun measure.
Grisham responded to those who wouldn’t enforce the order during an interview on CNN, saying, “It’s not for police to tell me what’s constitutional or not.”
Pissed-off Second Amendment supporters showed up in Old Town Albuquerque with their guns proudly displayed to show the tyrannical governor they will never comply with such a mandate.
During his Monday program, Alex Jones discussed that demonstration and explained how the governor’s move was simply a beta test by the establishment which will institute its authoritarian agenda by using “emergency orders” such as Covid or shootings.
Popular political commentator Judge Napolitano also suspected the New Mexico gun grab is some sort of a dry run “to see what they can get away with next time just like three years ago when they told us you can’t go to church, you can’t go to work. you can’t go within six feet of another person, you can’t go outside without a mask on. That was a dry run also.”
The group Gun Owners of America took credit for the legal win on X, writing, “GOA and @GunFoundation have received a Temporary Restraining Order against New Mexico Governor’s tyrannical firearm carry ban. This is a win for all gun owners in New Mexico and sends a clear message to all anti-gun states—Shall NOT Be Infringed.”
