Kamala Harris Took Her ‘Reproductive Freedoms’ Tour to Savannah
Joe Biden plans to be re-elected on two issues, abortion and democracy. Kamala is handling the abortion issue and Biden is the democracy guy.
Kamala is the Biden administration’s abortion czar. Abortion is an issue that she embraces with enthusiasm. She is on a “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms” tour. Her last stop was Savannah, Georgia. It was the third stop of her abortion tour. She began by thanking the audience for upholding freedom – the freedom of abortion.
“In America, freedom is not to be given, not to be bestowed, but it is ours by right,” Harris said. “And that includes the freedom to make decisions about one’s own body, and not have the government telling people what to do.”
Her speech lasted less than a half-hour. She spoke about Georgia’s heartbeat law that bans abortion after six weeks, usually when a fetal heartbeat can first be heard. Heartbeat laws are controversial because many women don’t realize they are pregnant at six weeks. Kamala said that lawmakers, “don’t even know, or care how a woman’s body works.”
Mayor Van Johnson was in attendance and spoke. He praised Kamala and Biden for their support of abortion.
“We are here today because President Biden and Vice President Harris realize and recognize that a woman has the right to decide, what happens to her body,” said Johnson. “Not city hall, not the federal government, not the state government. You can’t have it both ways, you can’t tell people you won’t regulate guns, but you want to regulate our bodies.
Suddenly Democrats are against over-regulation. It’s really only about abortion, though. They still support the heavy hand of the government taking away other things, like home appliances or smokeless tobacco.
Kamala’s speech was interrupted by a pro-Hamas protester. The protester was upset about the number of miscarriages in Gaza caused by the Israel-Hamas war. Harris’ supporters and staff chanted her name to drown out the protester, who was removed.
“We know in a healthy democracy, we value the freedom of all people to be heard, but right now we are talking about a different issue,” Harris said. “And that is the issue of what has happened to the women and people of America as a result of the Dobbs decision.”
Before she concluded her speech, Harris emphasized that if Congress tries to pass a national abortion ban, President Joe Biden will veto it.
One tweet from Harris is getting some notice – she implies that Biden will overrule the Supreme Court on the Dobbs ruling, which moved abortion back to state control.
Congress must pass legislation that restores the protections of Roe v. Wade. And when they do, President @JoeBiden will sign it.

So that’s interesting. Joe Biden doesn’t seem to think he has to follow Supreme Court rulings. He continues to release billions of dollars to eliminate student loan debt and now he wants to ignore the ruling on abortion.
So much for democracy, right? Biden is an out-of-control authoritarian.
Kamala did not take questions. She and Joe don’t like to do that.
Believe it or not, Kamala is said to be laying the groundwork for a presidential run in 2028. She made appearances in South Carolina, an important state for Biden’s campaign, before the Democrat primary. The idea is to get a southern state with a predominately black population voting in the primary to propel her as South Carolina did for Joe Biden in 2020. Rep. James Clyburn is on board, as he was to play kingmaker with Biden in 2020.
“I made very clear months ago that I support her,” said Representative James E. Clyburn, whose 2020 endorsement of Mr. Biden before his state’s primary election helped rejuvenate the former vice president’s struggling campaign and carry him to the nomination. “That’s why we got to re-elect the ticket. Then you talk about viability after that.”
Here’s the thing – it is important to defeat the Biden-Harris ticket in November because, as it has been pointed out by others, a vote for Biden is a vote for President Harris. Can Biden survive another four years in the White House? I’m not a doctor but sometimes I play one here. I don’t see him being able to do another four years and that means Kamala would become president. That is a very scary thought. She expects that they will be re-elected and then she’ll run in 2028. Courting South Carolina voters in the Democrat primary, especially black women, is a part of her plan.
