Horrible: Father Beaten To Death In Front Of His Children Over Middle School Fight

Karopchinsky told WBAL-TV her 14-year-old son had been in a fight at the local middle school and that a group of three teens and two adults showed up at their home looking to attack the child.

Wright reportedly told the five people the boy would not be going out to fight, to which they responded, “If he’s not going to fight, then you’re going to fight.”

Next, a scuffle broke out and the father was allegedly beaten to a pulp in front of the teen boys before being taken to a trauma center where he was pronounced dead from a traumatic brain injury the next day.

“Just looking at the damage that was done to him, that wasn’t just punching that did that. … I mean, the damage was done before the ambulance ever took him away. He had had a seizure. It was done. There was nothing that the hospital could do,” Karopchinsky explained.

Both Wright’s home and a neighbor’s house captured the incident on security cameras.

Karopchinsky said when she tried watching the footage she had to stop after seeing her 12-year-old son screaming, “Daddy, Daddy, Daddy” and running out of the house to go into the street and help his dad.

The fiancée spoke about the individuals who killed Wright, saying, “They didn’t just ruin our lives. Their lives are going to be changed forever. Their parents’ lives are going to be changed forever, and nobody thinks about that just from a fight. It’s everywhere, and somewhere, we as parents, are failing these children.”

Anne Arundel County Police said charges “could” be filed against the attackers if apprehended and are currently investigating the homicide.
