Girl, 16, Fighting For Life But Being Denied Life-Saving Double Lung Transplant Because Hasn’t Had 4 COVID Shots

A teenager in Australia is reportedly being denied a life-saving lung transplant surgery over her failure to receive four Covid-19 vaccinations.

The family of Dazelle, 16, has been on a nerve-wracking rollercoaster ride attempting to save her life after she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

After an intense years-long uphill health battle against a myriad of complications, numerous rounds of chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant and a bout of Covid that nearly destroyed her lungs, Dazelle is now in need of a double-lung transplant in order to continue her fight to stay alive.

“Things have moved to a different fight now for Dazelle,” a fundraiser in support of the family states.

“We find ourselves in a new fight for her life. She has chronic organizing pneumonia and severe lung disease. She has also been suffering from chronic graft vs host disease, but is being denied the life saving operation due to her not having, or wanting to take 4x of the covid shots. And from the health practitioners they say, ‘No shots, no double lung transplant.’”

The dire situation was laid out in a video shared on social media by Dazelle’s father, who said, “The Australian government have turned their backs on her because she doesn’t want the four C19 shots that they’ve told her she has to have or they won’t operate on her.”

Dazelle’s dad pushed back against claims he’s an anti-vaxxer, saying she herself does not want the jab and that she’s in no position physically to take the experimental injection.

“She’s a 16-year-old kid. She’s got her reasons,” the distraught dad explained.

“Before you get on and call us anti-vaxxers and all this rubbish, put yourselves in our position…It’s not a very good place. It’s been a hard few years. She’s fought cancer. She’s been on a deathbed. She’s been in a coma. There’s nothing you can say that’s gonna make me feel any worse than I already am, so save it.”

The distressed father is now reaching out to people who may know someone in a position of authority in the Australian government, or in other countries for help saving his daughter.

“The hospital turned their back on her. The government have turned their back on her. And we’re in the situation now that we’re crying out to other countries to see if there’s someone that knows someone high up that could pass this message on. We’re asking for help. Dazelle needs a double lung transplant as soon as possible. I hope none of you have to be in the situation we’re in.”

He added the situation is critical as “Dazelle’s just told her mom she wants her mom to help write her goodbye letters to people she loves because she feels like her body’s really starting to fail now.”

“So I hope someone out there hears this plea for help and get in contact with us somehow.”

It remains to be seen whether the Australian government changes course on its vaccine requirements and helps Dazelle, or whether she gets the help she desperately needs from another country more sympathetic to her plight.
