Kari Lake Mulls AZ Senate Run: ‘I’m the Only One Who Can Win’
Former Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake said she’s the only candidate who could win the Arizona Senate race in 2024 as she weighs whether to enter the contest.
Lake said during the Family Leadership Summit on Friday that she will make a decision about running for the Senate seat in the next few months.
“I’ve looked at the polling, to be honest, and I believe I’m the only one who can win that race,” Lake said Friday.
“We have an opportunity to pick up a very important seat so that when President Trump gets back into office, he can have people in D.C. ready to back him up with this incredible agenda,” she said at the event.
Lake, an avid supporter of Donald Trump, previously floated the prospect of running in recent weeks.

Lake also revealed she turned down a bribe to stay out of politics in the next election cycle.
Recently, a very powerful person tried to bribe me out of politics.
They wanted me on the bench for two years.
And I thought to myself, “If they want me gone this badly. I might just stick around for a while.”

Recent polls have shown that Lake has a sizable lead over prospective GOP challengers in a hypothetical Arizona Senate Republican primary.
Establishment Republicans who are resistant to Lake due to her outspoken criticism of the rigged 2020 election still admit that she would be a formidable political opponent in 2024.
“If she focuses on the future…and less about what’s happened in the past, I think that’ll be a competitive race,” said Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.), chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee on Thursday.
Montana Sen. Steve Daines, head of the NRSC, says the committee had a “very robust” discussion with Kari Lake, amid speculation she’s considering a 2024 Senate bid.
