Reporter Confronts Biden’s National Security Adviser Over DOJ Charging Biden Whistleblower For Violating FARA, But Sparing Hunter

Joe Biden’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan was questioned by a reporter about the Justice Department’s apparent double standard of charging whistleblower Gal Luft for FARA violations while ignoring Hunter Biden allegedly committing similar crimes.

Reporter Steve Nelson on Tuesday asked Sullivan during a press briefing in Vilnius, Lithuania, “Yesterday, a U.S. attorney from the Southern District of New York indicted a man named Gal Luft for violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act by working without registration for a company called CEFC China Energy.”

“The president’s son and brother worked for the SAME firm without registration…what’s the White House’s take?”

Sullivan stonewalled on the question, saying, “I’ve not seen that and can’t comment on it.”

After going missing in the wake of testifying to Congress against the Bidens, Luft, a former professor and Israeli army officer, had emerged last week on a video alleging detailed accounts of how the Biden family took bribes from foreign entities.

Days later, the US Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of New York announced a litany of charges against Luft for violating FARA regulations, arms dealing, and making false statements in a bid to advance the Chinese Communist Party’s interests.

“As alleged, Gal Luft, a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen and co-head of a Maryland think tank, engaged in multiple, serious criminal schemes,” US attorney Damian Williams said in a statement. “He subverted foreign agent registration laws in the United States to seek to promote Chinese policies by acting through a former high-ranking U.S. Government official; he acted as a broker in deals for dangerous weapons and Iranian oil; and he told multiple lies about his crimes to law enforcement.  As the charges unsealed today reflect, our Office will continue to work vigorously with our law enforcement partners to detect and hold accountable those who surreptitiously attempt to perpetrate malign foreign influence campaigns here in the United States.”

Meanwhile, House Republican investigators claim evidence exists that Hunter Biden was allegedly involved in the same sort of activities that resulted in the criminal charges against Luft, including violating FARA laws by failing to register as a foreign agent during his overseas business ventures.

This appears to be another example of the Biden regime weaponizing the Justice Department to persecute its political opponents.
