Rep. Rashida Tlaib Scolds Reporter: “I Don’t Talk to Fox News.”

Squad member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) refuses to condemn the chants of “Death to America” that are heard in her district.

When questioned by Fox Business Channel’s Hillary Vaughn in a congressional hallway if she would condemn the chant, Tlaib launched into a tirade against Fox and repeated several times, “I don’t talk to Fox News!”

Later she said, “I don’t talk to people who use racist tropes.”

“Why can’t you just say whether you condemn people that say ‘Death to America’?” Vaughn tried again. “Why are you afraid to talk to Fox?”

“Fox News is not — listen, using racist tropes towards my community is what Fox News is about, and I don’t talk to Fox News,” Tlaib replied.

“Is ‘Death to America’ racist? Is chanting ‘Death to America’ racist?” Vaughn asked.

Hillary Vaughn’s questions were completely reasonable ones. How does racism play into how Fox reports on radical Islamic activists as we see in Dearborn, Michigan, her congressional district? She considers herself a voice for her district so why should she sidestep an opportunity to say what is on her mind? She’s a narrow-minded anti-Semitic lawmaker, that’s why. She is a racist. Her hatred of Israel and Jews comes through loud and clear regularly.

Democrats always accuse others of what they are doing. Fox Business Channel and Fox News Channel are not racist news outlets. That is what lazy progressives say when they don’t want to hear a different point of view.

Dearborn, Michigan is home to the largest population of Muslims per capita in the United States. There was a rally held on Al-Quds Day last week. The speaker and the crowd chanted “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.” Americans were rightfully outraged. Tlaib, the only Palestinian American serving in Congress, has remained silent. Silence is complicity, we were told during the Trump years. Progressives can’t have it both ways.

Tlaib and Rep . Ilhan Omar (D-MN) are the only two female Muslim lawmakers in the House. Omar has remained silent, too.

Rep. Tlaib’s anti-Semitic remarks are unacceptable to her colleagues in the House.

In November, the House voted to censure Tlaib, in part because she defended that slogan, among other statements.

Tlaib had been one of the earliest proponents of a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war and even backed the “uncommitted” movement in Michigan, led by her sister, to protest President Biden, 81, in the Feb. 27 Democratic primary.

The White House delivered a rare condemnation of the conduct of Muslims in Michigan. Joe Biden is desperate to win the battleground state of Michigan in the November election.

“The White House condemns these abhorrent and antisemitic remarks in the strongest terms,” White House spokesman Andrew Bates said in response to the viral video.

“As President Biden has said, America is the greatest nation on Earth and a beacon to the world.”

That is not exactly the strongest of denunciations coming from the White House but it’s a start.
