An expert witness called by Democrats to discuss climate change was unable to articulate a compelling case for Congress to pass a proposed $50 trillion carbon bill, failing to answer basic questions posed by Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.).

The witness, olympic cross-country skier Gus Schumacher, couldn’t tell Sen. Kennedy whether the initiative for the US to go “carbon neutral” by 2050 would have any impact on global temperatures, and didn’t have a clue as to how much of earth’s atmosphere was made up of C02.
