United Airlines Takes Flak Over RACIST DEI Hiring Practices
United Airlines is facing heated criticism for hiring pilots based on race and sex rather than skill level.
The issue revolves around an interview United CEO Scott Kirby gave to Axios in June 2021, where he admitted the company wanted to fulfill a DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) quota in their United Aviate Academy where “50 percent…of the classes will be women or people of color.”
“Today, only 19 percent of our pilots at United Airlines are women, or people of color, and by the way from all the data I’ve seen that’s the highest of any airline in the country,” Kirby said.
The United Aviate Academy is a flight training program where aspiring pilots can learn to fly and have an opportunity to join United Airlines as a pilot.
Kirby’s admission sparked fears the airline company could be endangering the lives of passengers by hiring based on woke DEI standards instead of experience or other relevant factors.
Former President Donald Trump’s son Don Jr. pledged to give his business to other airlines that don’t adhere to DEI protocols.
“Is there a single US based airline that is not using DEI in their hiring practices for pilots & people involved with caring for large objects moving 600 mph at 36,000 feet?” Don Jr. wrote on X Monday.
“I’d love to give them all of my business! A rating/booking agency letting us know & choose based on that, like seat choices, would be amazing as well. Despite their virtue signaling, I imagine all the most insane liberals would likely also want to know and plan accordingly.”
DEI in the aviation industry has been a topic of great interest over the past few months, as more people realize their lives are being put in the hands of pilots who might not have the proper experience on the flight deck.
A viral social media post on the subject last week purportedly made by an airline pilot claimed DEI is being implemented slowly and that soon older more experienced pilots will retire and leave incompetent DEI hires in charge.
“As those guys retire and their numbers drop too low to stop the True Blue DEI believers, every flight will be a roll of the dice and eventually there will be one with two defective DEI pilots in the cockpit,” the post predicted, adding, “Pray for the people on that flight; they’re going to need it.”
“The DEI scourge will not end until a plane flown by unqualified ‘diverse’ pilots slams into a mountainside and kills everyone on board. Just pray you don’t end up with the unlucky ticket,” commented the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh.
A video filmed for social media claiming to depict the “dream team” at Spirit Aerosystems Engineering, which supplies parts for commercial airlines, showed a large group of female employees proudly attending an aviation convention.
The company was the supplier that made the door plug that blew off an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max 9 traveling from Portland to Ontario, California, last week.
Law firm America First Legal noted they’d filed a complaint against United Airlines suing them on the basis of discriminatory hiring practices for “hiring based on race and sex.”
“When you’re on a plane, do you want the most highly skilled pilot, or the DEI hire?” wrote the firm headed by former Trump adviser Stephen Miller.
As the Kirby clip recirculated on social media, conservative X account Libs of TikTok on Sunday pointed out the United CEO actually dresses in drag and is a member of the LGBTQ+ mafia, further evidence he full-on supports the leftist agenda.
Will airlines bring an end to this DEI madness before innocent passengers are made to pay the ultimate price? Or will they just gaslight the public into believing that lower safety standards as a result of DEI practices are normal?
