MISTRIAL: Law Clerk in Trump’s NY Fraud Trial Campaigned for AG Letitia James at Democrat Event, Video Shows
The law clerk of New York Judge Arthur Engoron, who is presiding over former President Donald Trump’s ongoing civil fraud trial, was seen campaigning for N.Y. Attorney General Letitia James at a Democrat event.
Engoron’s principal law clerk Allison Greenfield was seen on video attending an October 2022 Democrat fundraiser, and can be heard saying Biden is the “best president in the history of the United States.”
The event occurred while Trump’s civil fraud trial was pending.

The video also shows Greenfield campaigning and gathering signatures, known as petitioning, with the Grand Street Democrats on behalf of James’ 2022 primary campaign for New York State Attorney General.
James in 2018 campaigned on charging Trump, pledging to shine a “bright light into every dark corner of his real estate dealings.”
Notably, James was the one who brought Trump’s civil fraud lawsuit forward, seeking $250 million in damages.
The video exposes a blatant conflict of interest and destroys the perception of a fair and unbiased trial given Trump is the top political opponent of Joe Biden and the Democrats.
Trump’s legal team had already filed a 30-page motion for a mistrial earlier this month, claiming Engoron “tainted” the trial with political bias by “publicly commenting” on the proceedings and “co-judging” with Greenfield, who is involved with “extensive, public partisan activities.”
Specifically, Greenfield donated more than “$3,000 to Democrat candidates and organizations in 2022 and over $900 in 2023,” which is above the $500 permitted for court staff in a single year.
But Engoron denied the motion last week, claiming the arguments for a mistrial were “utterly without merit.”
Well, now this video evidence further suggests the arguments by Trump’s defense team did have merit.
Additional evidence of political bias tainting the trial was brought to light on Nov. 8 when journalist Laura Loomer exposed the alleged social media account of Engoron’s wife Dawn, who frequently published posts showing clear animosity for Trump as the trial was ongoing.

No clearer case of judicial bias has ever existed given the evidence that is already known, and Trump’s legal defense must continue to expose it.
