Watch: Rep. Comer Spars With Dem Lawmaker Over James Biden’s $200,000 Check to Joe Biden

Fireworks erupted in the halls of Congress Tuesday when Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) shredded Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) during a dispute over James Biden’s $200,000 check to his brother Joe Biden.

Comer last month released evidence of a $200,000 direct payment to Joe Biden after he received James and Hunter’s subpoenaed documents.

The documents detailed how in 2018, bankrupt rural hospital operator Americore Health LLC wired a $200,000 payment to Jim and Sara Biden’s personal bank account. Later that day, Jim Biden then wrote a $200,000 check to Joe Biden aka “The Big Guy.”

From the House Oversight Committee:

In 2018, James Biden received $600,000 in loans from, Americore—a financially distressed and failing rural hospital operator. According to bankruptcy court documents, James Biden received these loans “based upon representations that his last name, ‘Biden,’ could ‘open doors’ and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections.”

On March 1, 2018, Americore wired a $200,000 loan into James and Sara Biden’s personal bank account – not their business bank account. On the same day, James Biden wrote a $200,000 check from this same personal bank account to Joe Biden.

Joe Biden also received $40,000 in laundered China money.

Moskowitz last week peddled a fake news story by The Daily Beast claiming Comer loaned his brother money the same way Joe Biden supposedly “loaned” his brother James money.

Comer, who has banking experience, called out Moskowitz over that stunt and set the record straight.

“That story that you tweeted also said I had a shell company. That is bullshit!” Comer said before calling people who believed the story “dumb” and “financially illiterate.”

“You retweeted that story, completely false. I’ve never loaned my brother one penny. My father, who was a dentist, had some farmland. He died, and my brother couldn’t afford — he wanted to sell it, but he wanted to keep it in the family. So, I bought it from my brother,” Comer said.

“You look like a Smurf here, just going around and all this stuff,” Comer added, taking a dig at Moskowitz’s blue suit and blue tie.

Moskowitz later referred to Comer as “Gargamel” on X.

Tensions on Capitol Hill have been reaching a boiling point as lawmakers have been getting into heated conflicts in recent days.

Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R) almost came to blows with Teamsters union president Sean O’Brien over reportedly threatening emails.

And Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) accused Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) of jabbing him in the kidneys while walking down the hallway.
