GOP BETRAYAL: Republicans Poised To Elect Former Soros Spokesperson as Speaker of the House
House Republicans are poised to elect Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.), a former Soros group spokesperson, as Speaker of the House.
You can’t make this up.
Emmer, the House Majority Whip, was endorsed by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) after GOP members secretly voted to remove Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) as a candidate for speaker on Friday.
“He is the right person for the job. He can unite the conference. He understands the dynamics of the conference. He also understands what it takes to win and keep a majority,” McCarthy said.

What McCarthy conveniently forgot to mention is that Emmer was formerly a paid spokesman for the leftist George Soros-funded organization The National Popular Vote initiative.
From the New York Post:
The National Popular Vote campaign launched in 2006 to support efforts to overhaul the Electoral College by passing laws that commit state electors to the candidate who wins the national popular vote.
About five years after the initiative’s launch, Emmer took a job as one of the group’s paid spokespeople.
“I believe it’s going to end up favoring Republicans … if you believe in our message,” Emmer said in a 2011 video interview posted on the website of Pennsylvania public affairs firm Triad Strategies.
Former President Donald Trump opposed Emmer’s nomination as House Speaker in private discussions with the Republican caucus, according to reports.
“Trump on Friday privately expressed his opposition to supporters. Citing persons familiar with the discussions, the outlet relayed Trump’s concerns that Emmer did not hold a favorable opinion of him, had criticized him for the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, and did not come to his defense amid the multiple criminal indictments he faces,” Just The News reported.
Meanwhile, Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas) said he will vote for Trump as speaker.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen here right now but right now my vote is for is going to be for Donald J. Trump,” he said Friday.

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) also announced his candidacy for speaker.

The House has been without a Speaker for over two weeks after Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) filed a motion to vacate the chair occupied by McCarthy.
Establishment Republicans opting to choose a former Soros lackey over an America First firebrand like Jordan for speaker represents a major betrayal to GOP voters — which seems to be on-brand for the party.
