GOP Senator Reports Former CIA Head To Capitol Police For Apparent Death Threat

Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville has reported Retired U.S. Air Force General Michael V. Hayden, the former director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and National Security Agency (NSA), to the Capitol police after Hayden tweeted that Tuberville should be ‘removed from the human race.

Hayden’s nasty comment came after X user Nathalie Jacoby asked whether the Alabama Republican should be ‘removed’ from his assignments in Congress, including sitting on the armed services committee.

Tuberville has angered Hayden by blocking the confirmation of key military figures in protest at Pentagon policies on abortion.

The tweet is still live:

He was immediately accused of calling for the assassination of a sitting Senator:

Hayden then doubled down:

Tuberville responded, describing Hayden’s comment as “disgusting and repugnant” and noting that he has reported the former intelligence head to the Capitol Police.

“This statement is disgusting and it is repugnant to everything we believe in as Americans. Given General Hayden’s long career in Washington, he must have known that, by making such a statement, he was committing a serious crime,” Tuberville asserted.

He continued, “If we still have a nonpolitical justice system in this country, then General Hayden will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” and charging Democrats of engaging in “deafening silence.”

“I certainly did not expect to be threatened by former government officials like Michael Hayden,’ Tuberville urged, adding “Anyone who actually cares about our country must condemn this reckless statement.”

The Senator also noted that “General Hayden actively participated in the Russia Hoax and lied about Hunter Biden’s laptop to get Joe Biden elected President,” referring to Hayden signing the infamous “Russian disinformation” declaration in 2020.

Hayden, who headed up the NSA and CIA under George W. Bush and Obama, previously declared that the Fourth Amendment “changed” on September 11, 2001, and went on to oversee mass surveillance of Americans at the NSA while the invasion of Afghanistan was implemented.

He also previously referred to Trump supporters as “our Taliban” and suggested sending unvaccinated conservatives to Afghanistan to die:
