Distraction: Biden Interviewed By Special Counsel in Classified Documents Probe Amid Wall-to-Wall Media Coverage of Israel-Hamas Conflict

Joe Biden was interviewed by special counsel Robert Hur for two days over the weekend regarding his mismanagement of classified documents.

But the media’s constant coverage of the Israel-Hamas conflict assured that Biden wouldn’t receive much scrutiny over it.

Biden allegedly kept sensitive classified documents in unsecured locations such as a garage at his former Delaware home and his office at the CCP-funded Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, D.C.

“The voluntary interview was conducted at the White House over two days, Sunday and Monday, and concluded Monday,” White House spokesperson Ian Sams said.

“As we have said from the beginning, the president and the White House are cooperating with this investigation, and as it has been appropriate, we have provided relevant updates publicly, being as transparent as we can consistent with protecting and preserving the integrity of the investigation,” Sams added.

The interview was reportedly scheduled before Palestinian terror group Hamas invaded Israel on Saturday, resulting in more than 900 deaths and a declaration of war from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 

Despite Biden lacking authority to retain classified documents as VP and failing to turn those documents over to the National Archives, no charges have been filed against him in the case so far.

But former President Donald Trump, who did have constitutional authority to retain classified documents as president, and who claimed to have declassified them, faces multiple charges related to his alleged mishandling of said documents. 

The contrast is especially notable since Biden had condemned Trump for storing classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago compound.

“How that could possibly happen, how anyone could be that irresponsible?” Biden said of Trump.
