Sheriff Slams Biden Admin After Border Patrol Releases Illegals Onto Streets of AZ County
A sheriff in Arizona has issued a stern rebuke of the Biden administration after his office was informed of illegal alien street releases into his county from overcrowded migrant detention centers.
Addressing the “migrant street releases into Cochise County” taking place this week, Cochise County Sheriff Mark J. Dannels suggested the crisis was orchestrated and called it “a direct result of over-capacity by CBP.”
“The migrants being released are from outside Cochise County but were bussed to Cochise County, processed and then released,” the sheriff explained in a post that appeared on Facebook Wednesday.
He continued, “Cochise County is a rural county with limited resources leaving these migrants vulnerable.”
“In short, this lack of humanitarian consideration poses risk for the migrants,” the sheriff added.
“Today’s announcement…is just another reflection of the fracture within the DHS infrastructure regarding the security of our southern border,” Sheriff Dannels wrote.
The sheriff went on to blame the crisis on “leaders in Washington” for the problem, while praising “local CBP agents.”
“I applaud the local CBP agents and their leadership for doing all they legally can during this on-going crisis, and I repeat my statement, ‘The intellectual avoidance and abandonment with intended consequences’ by those leaders in Washington DC reference our southern border continues to be a slippery slope for those doing everything we can to protect our quality of life here in Cochise County!”
The sheriff’s pushback against the migrant release comes as footage from elsewhere in Arizona surfaced Wednesday showing a migrant detention facility overloaded with illegal aliens — all while the Biden administration seemingly ignores the issue brought on by their own open border policies.
