GOP Rep. Disturbed By Footage Of Undercover Officers Hidden In Jan. 6 Crowd Egging On Protesters
Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) spoke with Just The News on Thursday where he revealed the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C. placed plainclothes officers into the crowd during the January 6th Capitol debacle.
Footage posted online shows an undercover Metropolitan Police officer wearing a body camera and communicating with a pair of fellow embedded law enforcement members.
“We know that it is one of their officers and at one point he is encouraging, and it appears he’s encouraging, but he’s definitely helping people climb the scaffolding, and he’s telling them, ‘Go, go, go,’” Loudermilk told Just the News on its No Noise television show.
“Why is an officer encouraging people to climb the scaffolding and go into the Capitol?” he asked. “And secondly, why did the MPD, Metropolitan Police Department, decide to put undercover officers in the crowd? Was there intelligence that they had that was or was not passed onto the Capitol Police and what did the Capitol Police do with that evidence if they got it?”
