“Permission to go Alex Jones?” – Fox Host Slams NM Gov’s Gun Ban, Raises Alarm on Abuse of Power Across America
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld asked for “permission to go Alex Jones” when slamming New Mexico Gov. Michelle Grisham’s recent gun ban.
Gutfeld also invoked Jones to raise alarm on the growing trend of officials using “emergencies” to take rights away from Americans.
“I’ve had enough of people declaring emergencies in order to take control of our lives,” said Gutfed Monday night on The Five. “We can declare emergencies on anything. This is part of a bigger problem we are seeing unfold.”

“This 30-day suspension of a constitutional right is meant to be a trial balloon, right?” asked Gutfeld. “A test for something that might happen in the next year, in the run-up to the election.”
“Saying that the Second Amendment is not absolute and having a few gun-control fanatics say, ‘Hold on’–that’s theater.”
Gufeld went on to detail how the First Amendment and even private property are also under attack:
“There are a number of examples of free speech being ‘flexible’ you know? You could lose your medical license if you decide to say something different about Covid. We now know that the government did try to suppress information – First Amendment – so that people wouldn’t speak out against what they believe to be right.
You have these retail theft laws, $900 ceiling, that’s another trial balloon for the end of private property.
You can see these all go together: You’re seeing an attack on speech, you’re seeing an attack on personal protection… the end of private property.
I have a feeling the timing is strange here and it might get very weird. I think this next election will make the other two look like a game of pickleball among friends.”
Indeed, Gutfeld’s insight comes at a time when more and more Americans are looking at the bigger picture and aren’t taking anything at face value.
