Biden White House Forms ‘War Room’ Ahead of Expected GOP Impeachment Inquiry

The Biden White House has formed a “war room” of lawyers, staffers, and legislative aides to lead an aggressive response to an anticipated Republican impeachment inquiry in the coming weeks.

The move has been in the works since Republicans retook the majority in the House of Representatives in the beginning of this year.

Biden’s aides are referring back to the Clinton White House’s 1998 response to impeachment as a model for their defense and spinning the effort as a negative for Republicans.

“The White House began preparing for impeachment on the first day of the new House majority this year. But now, as Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., calls an impeachment inquiry a ‘natural step forward,’ White House aides have spent the August recess researching GOP statements and fine-tuning a message and a response team, a source familiar with the strategy said,” NBC News reported Friday.

A White House aide claimed the GOP’s impeachment effort is unprecedented because it’s based on “no evidence whatsoever.”

“Comparing this to past impeachments isn’t apples to apples or even apples to oranges; it’s apples to elephants,” the White House aide said. “Never in modern history has an impeachment been based on no evidence whatsoever.”

In reality, Republicans have more than enough evidence to launch an impeachment inquiry against Biden, including internal emails, FBI documents, bank records, and whistleblower testimony detailing Biden’s alleged bribery scheme while he was vice president.

As George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley noted, the whole impeachment inquiry issue could be put to rest before even taking off if Biden simply provides his financial and email records.

“If these records show legitimate transactions and innocent messaging, as claimed, they will exonerate the President,” Turley noted. “In other words, this is a war that can be avoided by simple transparency. Conversely, using White House staff to cover up any wrongdoing could make this situation far worse for the President.”

But the Biden regime, which touts itself as the “most transparent administration in history” has no plans to do that.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy indicated on Aug. 27 that an impeachment inquiry would be forthcoming after Congress’ August recess.

“If you look at all the information we’ve been able to gather so far, it is a natural step forward that you would have to go to an impeachment inquiry,” McCarthy told Fox News. “That provides Congress the apex of legal power to get all the information they need.”

But in typical RINO fashion, McCarthy indicated Friday the impeachment inquiry would need to be put to a House vote, a curious move former President Donald Trump was not afforded when former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) had unilaterally launched an impeachment inquiry into Trump in 2019.
