79 Arsonists Arrested in Greece for Starting ‘Climate Change’ Fires

Nearly a hundred arsonists responsible for devastating wildfires in Greece have been arrested on Saturday despite politicians initially blaming them on “climate change.”

“You are committing a crime against the country,” said Civil Protection Minister Vassilis Kikilias, warning that arsonists have attempted to set new fires in Mount Parnitha, north of Athens.

“Arsonist scum are setting fires that threaten forests, property and, most of all, human lives,” Kikilias continued. “You will not get away with it, we will find you, you will be held accountable.”

The fires have killed over 21 people, injured 60 firefighters, and destroyed over 180,000 acres of land, making the blazes “now the largest wildfires on record the EU has faced,” according to Janez Lenarčič, European Commissioner for Crisis Management — who also blamed the fires on climate change.

Politicians in the U.S. and EU have been quick to blame recent wildfires in Hawaii, Italy, Canada and Spain on climate change before official causes were even determined.

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) insisted that the only way to stop these “climate change” wildfires is to “decarbonize the economy.”

Likewise, Joe Biden’s climate czar John Podesta blamed the Maui wilfires on climate change and claimed only Biden’s “Inflation Reduction Act” can prevent more wildfires in the future.

The media has also been caught blaming the wildfires in Greece on climate change, such as an op-ed by The Guardian titled, “Even in Greek towns razed by wildfires, people don’t blame the climate crisis. That must change.”

Of course, the fact dozens of arsonists started the wildfires in Greece won’t stop these political operatives from advancing their climate change agenda by blaming any natural disaster they can one climate change, from hurricanes to droughts.
