Joe Biden Refuses To Comment on Maui Wildfire Tragedy, KJP Says Has No Plans To Visit Disaster Zone
Joe Biden on Monday refused to comment on the Hawaii wildfires that have so far killed nearly 100 people and left 1,000 missing.
Biden was enjoying his beach vacation in Delaware when a reporter asked if he had anything to say regarding the deadliest natural disaster in Hawaii’s history.
The puppet president only replied with a smirk, “No comment.”

Talk about lack of leadership.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at a press conference later attempted to smooth over Biden’s silence, claiming he’s “deeply concerned about the people in Maui.”
“How does the White House respond to critics who have suggested that the president should not have been vacationing at the beach over the weekend as the Maui crisis became the worst wildfire in a century?”

But when asked by the press if he had any plans to visit the disaster area as is typical of U.S. presidents, Jean-Pierre said, “I don’t have anything to announce at this time,” but added Biden will “continue to have conversations” about it.
“Does he want to travel [to Maui] eventually?”

FEMA Director Deanne Criswell reiterated that Biden is not scheduled to tour the disaster area.

Not only does Biden have no plans to visit the devastated area, but Jean-Pierre admitted he couldn’t even be bothered to speak to wildfire victims whose houses and businesses were destroyed.
“Has President Biden spoken to any family members of wildfire victims or plans to in the future?”

Aside from Biden’s appearance of indifference over the Maui tragedy, his refusal to directly address the disaster is particularly glaring given it’s an election season that calls for heightened sensitivity to campaign optics.
But then again, he also has still not even visited East Palestine, Ohio, where a train derailment resulted in the burning of massive quantities of vinyl chloride that devastated the town in February.
Former President Trump offered his sympathies to the victims of Maui and slammed Biden’s “disgraceful” lack of leadership and willingness to comment on the tragedy.
“It is a DISGRACEFUL thing that Joe Biden refuses to help or comment on the tragedy in Maui, just as he refused to help or comment on the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio,” Trump said.

Officials say at least 2,000 businesses were destroyed and believe over 1,000 people are still missing following the wildfire.
